Job Description

CrossTech is seeking a highly experienced Project Manager with direct, hands-on PeopleSoft implementation expertise to lead complex PeopleSoft initiatives and support Robotics Process Automation (RPA) and Conversational AI (CAI) programs.
This is not a general project management role. The ideal candidate must have led full lifecycle PeopleSoft implementations and/or PeopleSoft Update Manager (PUM) upgrades and must be comfortable managing projects already in flight, stabilizing delivery, and proactively mitigating risks.

Job Description

  • Lead full lifecycle PeopleSoft HCM implementations and enhancement projects.
  • Manage PeopleSoft PUM upgrades, including planning, retrofits, testing coordination, and deployment.
  • Oversee PeopleSoft modules such as HCM, Payroll, Benefits, Core HR, Finance, and related enterprise systems.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams, including functional, technical, integration, business, and executive stakeholders.
  • Ensure project alignment with enterprise architecture, governance, and organizational standards.
  • Step into ongoing, troubled, or high-risk projects and quickly assess project health.
  • Re-baseline project schedules, scope, milestones, budgets, and delivery plans as needed.
  • Identify risks, dependencies, conflicts, and delivery blockers early.
  • Develop structured mitigation plans and present clear options with recommendations before escalating to leadership.
  • Drive corrective action plans and help rebuild stakeholder confidence.
  • Facilitate conflict resolution across business and technical teams with a solution-first mindset.
  • Provide executive-ready communication, status reporting, impact analysis, and decision support.
  • Lead or support Robotics Process Automation initiatives.
  • Support Conversational AI or chatbot programs where applicable.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify automation opportunities within PeopleSoft-related processes.
  • Oversee AI Bot lifecycle management, governance, implementation, and integration where applicable.


Qualifications
  • 8+ years of Project Management experience.
  • 5+ years of direct PeopleSoft implementation leadership experience.
  • Experience managing full lifecycle PeopleSoft implementations, not just integrations.
  • Demonstrated experience managing PeopleSoft PUM upgrades.
  • Strong hands-on knowledge of PeopleSoft modules such as HCM, Payroll, Benefits, Core HR, Finance, and related areas.
  • Deep understanding of PeopleSoft configuration, upgrades, module-level impact, and enterprise PeopleSoft environments.
  • Experience stepping into midstream, troubled, or high-risk projects and stabilizing delivery.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in Higher Education or Public Sector environments.
  • Experience managing multi-campus or enterprise-wide ERP systems.
  • Hands-on exposure to RPA platforms such as UiPath, Automation Anywhere, or Blue Prism.
  • Experience supporting Conversational AI, chatbot, or automation programs.
  • PMP certification preferred.


Compensation
$60.00-$63.00/hr
