Basin Solutions is excited to partner with VoltaGrid in searching for a skilled Operations Technician to enhance vital natural gas treatment and processing operations. This role is crucial for ensuring the safe, efficient, and reliable performance of various systems, including compression, refrigeration, and dehydration, in challenging field settings. We are looking for a technically adept, safety-conscious professional who is dedicated to operational excellence and adopts a proactive, solutions-oriented approach. Position Summary: This position involves the daily management and upkeep of natural gas treatment and processing equipment, such as refrigeration, decompression, and dehydration systems. Equipment includes mobile refrigeration units, reciprocating natural gas compressors, dehydrators, fluid separation systems, valves, gas measurement devices, and more. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Demonstrated experience with CNG PRS systems or similar high-compression systems, including Swagelok valves and regulators. Provide daily oversight by operating equipment within specified limits, routinely inspecting for malfunctions or maintenance needs, and carrying out minor repairs. Willingness to develop knowledge of fleet equipment. Ability to troubleshoot and solve issues efficiently. Monitor, record, and analyze various operating parameters such as pressure, temperature, fuel consumption, and more. Safely depressurize equipment as needed. Accountable for calculating, designing, and ensuring optimal flow, temperature, and pressure levels. Utilize hand tools to perform mechanical and electrical repairs. Mechanical aptitude is essential. Basic understanding of electronics and electrical systems is advantageous. Completion of all necessary training, including Arc Flash and Basic Electrical Safety Training, is expected. Proper use of ladders and safety harnesses is mandatory. Ability to determine and utilize appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) for various tasks. Self-motivation to manage daily assignments and meet performance targets is required. Ability to work independently and collaboratively for extended periods. Maintain tools, equipment, and personal workspace in a neat and orderly fashion. Must be available by phone during scheduled rotations. Operate a company vehicle safely with a clean driving record. Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures. Ensure compliance with safety and environmental standards while on site; assist with incident responses and investigations as needed. Complete all assigned training on time. Promote ethical conduct in every aspect of business and set a positive example. Proficient in computer usage, including online forms and automation systems. Perform any other duties assigned by the Supervisor. Other Requirements: Minimum of 5+ years of relevant experience, preferably in the oil and gas sector. High school diploma, skilled labor certificate, or equivalent qualification. Willingness to work in extreme weather conditions and at heights. Capable of stooping, sitting, standing, or remaining active for extended periods. Ability to lift up to 25 pounds multiple times during a shift. Strong mechanical skills. Valid driver's license.
