Job Description

Regional Office Manager

The key function of this position is to train and develop office staff as well as resolving customer issues. At times, the District Office Manager will fill in for Office staff shortages. This position is also responsible for assisting customers, associates, and managers with a variety of office transactions and provides a high level of customer service. In addition, this position will assist the Regional/VP of Sales.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Creates the staff work schedules to be approved by the Store Manager
  • Maintains adequate office supplies
  • Trains, guides, and provides direction to the Office assistants and Office Managers by prioritizing work
  • Ensures all stores within region achieves a satisfactory audit score
  • Completes opening and closing procedures
  • Balances the cash drawer, completes deposits and prepares the cash reconciliation report according to guidelines
  • Follows office procedures (check acceptance, return/reselects and finance applications)
  • Ensures company policies/procedures are adhered to by office associates and office management
  • Completes various reports (COD, Take Report, Research/Correction Report, Petty Cash Report, and UOR)
  • Ensures office paperwork is accurate, neat and complete
  • Maintains accuracy with Inventory Issues on load slips and "take orders"
  • Answers multi-line phones with professional telephone etiquette
  • Utilizes various computer programs to process payments and finance applications, answers delivery questions, and resolves customer inquiries
  • Provides guidance to any Office Manager who receives a below average audit score
  • Provides input for performance reviews and discipline
  • Coordinates regional functions as directed by Regional/VP of Sales
  • Compiles expense reports and submit to Regional/VP of Sales for approval
  • Recruits/Retains staff through interviews, maintaining a positive work environment, team building and team appreciation
  • Assists Clearance Store Managers with tracking of due dates for performance reviews/increases
  • Performs other duties as required

Employment Standards:

Knowledge:

  • Have proficient knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and all RTG tablet/computer systems
  • Must know all aspects of Rooms To Go office procedures, be able to fully operate a large volume Rooms To Go Office and manage the entire Sales team.

Education:

  • Must have a High School Diploma, Bachelor's degree preferred

Experience:

  • Must have 2 years of Rooms To Go Office Management experience
  • Must have experience resolving multiple customer service and multiple employee issues.

Essential Requirements:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with ability to effectively present and communicate with all levels within the organization, with agencies and vendors
  • Excellent customer service skills preferred including handling difficult customers professionally and following up, as needed
  • Excellent organizational skills preferred with ability to handle multiple priorities, meet demanding deadlines and adjust to sudden changes in workflow
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to resolve problems involving several variables, think outside the box, suggest corrective action, and resolve customer inquiries and issues
  • Excellent leadership and training skills
  • Ability to keep customer information in a confidential and private manner

Working Conditions:

  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including days, nights, weekends and holidays. Including working extended hours, handle high volume workloads
  • Must wear closed toe shoes
  • Ability to lift up to 10 lbs.
  • Ability to travel up to 100% within the region
  • Ability to sit for prolonged periods in one location which may be restricted to the employee's workstation
  • Ability to stand, walk, stoop/bend, and squat (1-25% of shift)
