We are looking for a Contracts Administrator to join our Pittsburgh (Cheswick) location. Your responsibilities include conducting proposal preparation, contract negotiation, and administration of government and/or commercial contracts. You will monitor performance for conformance to original proposal, analyze estimates of material, equipment, and production costs, and review contractual documents to ensure adherence to company policy, government specifications, and requirements. You will respond to inquiries regarding contract obligations and revisions, initiate documentation to authorize work in accordance with contractual specifications, participate in contract negotiations, and administer assigned contracts and changes thereto to ensure compliance with division processes, procedures, and contract requirements. The salary range is $59,700.00 - $112,000.00 per year.

Your challenge includes reviewing customer inquiries, contract documents, contract terms and conditions, and correspondence as part of the bid evaluation and subsequent proposal process. You will coordinate, prepare, and write proposals for new contracts as well as changes to existing contracts, develop pricing strategies in support of EMD's financial objectives, participate in negotiation of those proposals with existing and prospective clients, administer assigned contracts and changes thereto to best ensure that work is completed in compliance with division processes, procedures, and contract requirements, evaluate financial, compliance, or performance issues associated with assigned contracts, and maintain liaison with customers and internal personnel to expedite and coordinate contract activities.
What you bring includes a BS or BA in Business Administration or equivalent, 4 7 years' experience, proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, the ability to work within a team and multi-task, above average writing and verbal communication skills, excellent presence with people, good understanding of financial metrics and calculations, and due to DoD requirements, candidates must be US citizens and able to obtain and maintain DOD security clearance. Working knowledge of supply and services contract structure, FAR/DFAR terms and conditions, Truth-in-Negotiations-Act (TINA) principles, experience in customer negotiations and problem solving, MBA, NCMA certification, and prior U.S. Government security clearance are a plus.
