About the Role
The Company is in search of a Chief Finance and Administrative Officer (CFAO) to join its executive team. The CFAO will be a key strategic partner, responsible for stewarding the organization's financial health and building the necessary systems and infrastructure to support its national growth and impact. This role requires a hands-on, forward-thinking financial leader with a proven track record in multi-year forecasting, financial modeling, and cost analysis. The successful candidate will oversee all financial operations, ensure compliance with regulations, and lead the development of long-range financial models. Additionally, the CFAO will be instrumental in strengthening financial literacy across departments, engaging with the Board's Finance and Audit Committees, and contributing to the organization's culture of diversity, equity, and inclusion. Candidates for the CFAO position should have 10-15+ years' of progressive financial leadership experience, with a strong preference for those who have operated at the executive level. Experience in nonprofit finance, particularly with complex, multi-year government grants, is highly valued. The ideal candidate will have a deep commitment to the organization's mission, be a strategic and analytical thinker, and possess the ability to connect financial data to operational systems and program impact. A Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is required, with a CPA, CMA, or MBA strongly preferred. The CFAO will also be responsible for team leadership, so a proven track record in building and managing high-performing, inclusive teams is essential.
