Cash Application Specialist Onsite | Schaumburg, IL
LHH Recruitment Solutions is looking for a Cash Application Specialist for a fully onsite role in Schaumburg, IL. This is a great opportunity for someone with handson cash application experience or a recent accounting graduate with strong critical thinking skills who is looking to grow their accounting career.
Pay: $20-25 per hour, based on experience
Responsibilities:
- Apply and post daily customer payments accurately and timely
- Research and resolve unapplied cash, short payments, overpayments, and discrepancies
- Reconcile customer accounts and assist with AR aging
- Communicate with internal teams and customers to resolve payment issues
- Maintain accurate records and documentation to support monthend close
- Assist with other accounting or accounts receivable tasks as needed
Qualifications:
- Prior cash application, accounts receivable, or accounting experience
OR
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Strong critical thinking and problemsolving skills
- High attention to detail and ability to work in a fastpaced environment
- Proficiency with Excel; accounting or ERP system experience a plus
