With a focus on innovation and excellence, we are seeking a skilled Bookkeeper/Staff Accountant to join our finance team at our Lenexa office. Position Overview: As a Bookkeeper with Genesh, Inc., you will play a vital role in ensuring the financial integrity and accuracy of our restaurant operations. This position requires proficiency in Excel, Accounts Payable (AP), Bank Reconciliations, and Journal Entries (JE). We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities: Utilize Excel to analyze financial data and prepare reports for management. Process Accounts Payable transactions accurately and efficiently. Conduct bank reconciliations to ensure the accuracy of financial records. Assist with the preparation of Journal Entries as part of the month-end closing process. Maintain organized and up-to-date financial documentation. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field. Strong proficiency in Excel and other Microsoft Office applications. Prior experience with Accounts Payable, Bank Reconciliations, and Journal Entries. Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in work. Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a deadline-driven environment. Preferred Qualifications: CPA or CPA candidate. Familiarity with accounting software (e.g., Sage, Intact, Cyma, QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle,). Knowledge of accounting principles specific to the restaurant industry. Previous experience working in a multi-unit or franchisee environment. Note: While experience in Accounts Receivable (AR) is beneficial, it is not required for this position.
